Finance & Accounting
An ideal career field for a Christendom graduate
The fields of finance and accounting demand a high level of attention to detail, along with the ability to process a high amount of information efficiently. Accountants and financial managers must then communicate this information to constituents in a manner that is both effective and easily understood. While some will try to say that only people with degrees in these fields can become successful in them, that is false: liberal arts majors can find just as much success, if not more.
Christendom alumni have risen to the top of the financial world, whether they are working for Pricewaterhousecoopers, Sirius XM, operating their own businesses, or handling the finances for a diocesan church. Their ability to think quickly and take in a lot of information efficiently helps them to stand out from their peers, and their communication skills give them the necessary edge to find greater success.
At Christendom’s Life on Tap alumni networking series, successful alumni in the financial and accounting fields have returned to campus to speak on how they used their liberal arts education and the career preparation they received at Christendom to find post-graduate success.
